Frequently Asked Questions
What are Fine Art Prints?
Our Archival Museum Quality prints are high-resolution reproductions created with a fine art digital printer. We use high-quality archival inks to ensure that each print retains its vivid colors and details for over 300 years.
What is a Giclée Print?
Giclée (pronounced zhee-clay) refers to the latest generation of fine art reproduction technology. The term, derived from the French word meaning "to spray," highlights the precision of the process, which utilizes high-end inkjet printing. Giclée prints feature a microscopic dot pattern, allowing for virtually continuous tone and exceptional color accuracy. Using 10 different inks, this technique captures a vast color range, resulting in prints of unmatched quality and detail—perfectly replicating the original artwork.
What are Limited Edition Fine Art Prints?
Limited edition fine art prints are exclusive reproductions, available in a set number, ensuring their rarity and collectibility. For example, in a 50-print limited edition, only 50 prints are produced, and once they are sold, no additional prints will be made. Each print is individually numbered and signed by the artist, emphasizing its exclusivity.
What are Open Edition Prints?
Open edition prints are artworks that have no set limit on the number of reproductions made. Unlike limited edition prints, which are capped at a specific quantity, open edition prints can be produced indefinitely. This makes them more affordable, while still offering a high-quality representation of the original artwork. Although not as exclusive as limited editions, open edition prints allow more art lovers to enjoy the work without the premium price tag.
How long will it take for my prints to reach me?
On average, prints take 3-4 weeks to arrive from the date of order. Delivery times may vary based on the shipping location and are subject to change. Once a print is purchased, you will receive a tracking number to monitor the status of your shipment. We will notify you of any significant updates regarding your order.
